Obituary:Justin David Nichols
Justin David Nichols was born the third day of the third month of '63 in Blythe to Shirley Lambert Casal and Ben Nichols. He was the third of five children; he had one brother, Morgan Nichols, and three sisters, Renee Briggs, Desireé Tennefos and Shirley Lindley. He passed Thursday, May 10, 2012, in Kingman Regional Medical Center.
He smoked, he drank, he dared fate, but he had a smile that showed no denial that he had a love for live. He was a man of simple means, a fishing pole and fishing hole he considered grander things. With a bottle in his hand, he traveled near and far; he was a restless soul. He was a son, brother, father and rambler, and after a drink or two a self-proclaimed poet. Although some may not know it, he wasn't a religious man, but a spiritual one. He lived the life he chose; he was a drinkin' man who cheated death a hundred times. He'd been beat up more times than I can count, shot, stabbed, run over, bitten by a rattlesnake, and lived to tell about it.
He was a father and left behind the two girls he loved the most, his daughters, Morgan and Stevey. He loved his boys, Justin and Cody, and said, "God help them; they are as stubborn as me." He could make you laugh and make you cry, drive you crazy; we are gonna miss that guy. He was a simple man with a bottle in his hand.
A family memorial was held Tuesday, May 15.
