Manzanita Elementary School held an eyeglass drive recently for the Lions Clubs International. Michelle Burkes' second-grade class sponsored the drive, which resulted in the donation of 250 pairs of used eyeglasses to help people in need see better. Kindergartener Jacob Ochoa-Godinez raised the most, getting 97 pairs of eyeglasses to donate to the drive. An optometrist and family members gave the eyeglasses to him. Here, from left to right, Jacob sits with Burkes and teacher Robyn Williams.
