KRMC organizes several events for October
Kingman Regional Medical Center's "Catch It Early" Program: Helps local women obtain the breast healthcare they need, regardless of their ability to pay. The maximum out-of-pocket expense for a mammogram during October is $55. To schedule a mammogram, call your primary care physician or contact the KRMC Imaging Center at 692-2727.
Women's Health Expo and Open House: From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, KRMC will hold its annual Women's Health Expo at the Medical Professional Center on the KRMC campus. Numerous organizations will be participating in the event, offering screenings, free flu vaccines and information to enhance the health and well-being of women in our community. The event is free and open to the public with food and prizes.
Pink Ribbon-of-Lights: A large ribbon of pink lights will be displayed outside KRMC facing Stockton Hill Road this month. Each light bulb on the display represents a person in our community touched by breast cancer. Light bulbs can be purchased for $5 at the KRMC gift shop, KRMC Imaging Center, or KRMC Cancer Center. Proceeds benefit the KRMC Catch It Early program. Call 681-5061 for more information.
Cookie Sale: Otis Spunkmeyer cookie jars filled with pink breast cancer awareness cookies from KRMC's nutrition services department will be available all month for $10 at the KRMC cafeteria. Proceeds benefit the KRMC Catch It Early program.
Quilt Raffle: Raffle tickets will be on sale during October for a beautiful pink quilt handmade by Robin Rush, director of KRMC Nutrition Services. Tickets can be purchased at the KRMC Imaging Center, where the quilt is on display. All proceeds will go to the KRMC Catch It Early program.
