Mary Elizabeth Brooks Cooper, born Oct. 4, 1975, left us suddenly on Oct. 15, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Odell and Frances Baker, and her paternal grandfather, Albert W. Brooks, all of Memphis.

She leaves a daughter, Bailey Alyssa Cooper of Wenatchee, Wash.; sons, Cameron James Cooper of Wenatchee and Dylan Joshua Samuel Cooper of Batesville, Miss.; her parents, William Paul and Linda F. Brooks of Batesville, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., and Kingman; her brother, Brian D. (Ruth) Brooks and nephew Jesse William Brooks; her uncle Paul D. (Donna) Baker and nephew Paul D. Baker II of Memphis; her aunt and uncle, Patricia and Jim Hopper of Kingman; her cousin, Mark (Paula) Bolton of Aiken, S.C.; her uncle and aunt, David and Beverly Cowles of Avon Park, Fla.; cousins, Michael (Marsha) Cowles and Tina (Doug) Burnside, all of Ohio; her paternal grandmother, Ruth Brooks of Avon Park, formerly of Memphis; special "aunts" Vicki Kidd and Lisa Henry of Tupelo; special friends, Kelly Welch of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Mike Desi of Goodyear, Ariz.

She was born at Fort Campbell, Ky., and traveled to Italy when her father was in the Army. She grew up in Memphis and moved with her family when her father was transferred with Fed/Ex to Kingman.

She graduated from Kingman High School in 1993 and attended Scottsdale Culinary Arts School. She loved to cook and served many a fine meal.

Liz attended Macon Road Church of Christ in Memphis and had accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized.

Liz had suffered many demons and now she can lay those demons to rest. She was an organ donor and this may bring peace to us and help us make sense of this tragic loss.

A memorial service was held Oct. 9 at Batesville Church of Christ. Michael Bates and her uncle, David Cowles, officiated.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.

The family wishes to thank Stevens Funeral Home in Forrest City, Ark., and Wells Funeral Home in Batesville.
