Letter of thanks: Ken Coombs
The Kingman Elks Lodge No. 468 annual deliveries of Christmas Baskets was a great success, with 160 baskets being delivered to 640 local family members on Christmas Eve morning.
The lodge would like to thank the Kingman Academy of Learning primary, intermediate, middle and high schools for collecting 8,684 canned and other non-perishable food items to go into the baskets. With this help the lodge was able to add 34 more baskets to the number it had originally planned for.
The lodge would also like to thank the 14 lodge and family members who collected and sorted the food items, and the 17 lodge and family members who assembled the baskets. Finally, thank you to the 20 two-person crews who delivered the baskets on Christmas Eve morning.
A big thank you to the local merchants who donated to the lodge. American Woodmark for the turkeys, Sterilite Co. for the Christmas Baskets, Little Debbie's for the dessert treats, and Safeway Supermarket for the food items.
