Korean War Veterans Association of Mohave County: The KWVA wants you! All Korean veterans are invited to join our fine group; dues are only $12 per year. Bring your DD214 with you when you come. Can't find it? We can help you get a copy. If you served in Korea during the war or peacetime, you could be eligible. Meetings are at 1 p.m. the first Saturday of every month at VFW Post 10386, 3036 E. John L Ave., Kingman. January was the election of our new officers. Pictured with Tom Paine, pastor, are: James Kash, sergeant at arms; Gerald Huber, commander; Jack Clark, first vice commander; Sharon Gilfoil, secretary; and John Miller, treasurer. Glen Sharpe, second vice commander, was absent when the picture was taken. After our meetings, we have dinner at 5 p.m. with a different entrée each month. Tickets are only $7 per person for a fine evening of friendship and good food, and it is open to everyone, so bring your family and friends. The Korean War Memorial that has now become a Kingman landmark in Veterans Park was one of our many projects. We are always looking for members with new ideas to help promote growth for our local chapter. We are a community-oriented organization that provides scholarships to Mohave Community College and donations to the Salvation Army, the Cornerstone Mission and Angel Manor. The KWVA is proud of the work we do and will be proud to welcome you.
