Wing Tips
The Kingman Modelers hosted 36 Boy Scouts at their facility near the Kingman airport Saturday.
Five instructors helped the boys gain their Aviation merit badges, teaching how to chart a flight while allowing for magnetic variance, how to use a controller, building a paper model and other skills.
The Modelers provided "Kadet Senior" model airplanes for the Boy Scouts to fly and gave them a yearlong membership to the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
The Modelers are looking for kids and adults interested in model airplanes and cars to join their group and will provide free instruction.
