Retired educators mark annual Ditch Day
Kingman Area School Retirees' Association held their annual Ditch Day potluck breakfast Sept. 17 at member Tommie Upton's Hidden Pines Bed and Breakfast. It was a beautiful day as current members, new members and guests gathered to enjoy some delicious food and the gorgeous scenery from the hillside just south of I-40. President Paul Tribbett announced the meeting schedule for the remainder of 2013, which includes an October luncheon at Dora's Deli and the annual Christmas Party/Canned Food Drive in December at Barb Fuller's home. Dorian Trahan was the winner of a lovely carafe, which was donated by Sue Snell, with proceeds going toward our 2013-14 mini-grant to be awarded to a local teacher later this fall.
