Kingman Letters: Dolan stepped up for event

Dolan Springs Trail System wants to thank the community of Dolan Springs for their gracious hospitality to American Hiking Society Volunteer Vacation folks the week of March 16-22.

We would like to thank Gary Sims/Celeste Irons for their motor home, Canyon Café, Wishing Well, Castle Rock Ranch, Double D Market, Dolan Springs RV Park, Mohave County Parks, Ingrid Purder, LDS Church and Marie Hedrick. Plus the trail workers from our local group, Henry Iracheta and Sean Dixon, and the celebration of the spring equinox, Rebecca Smith.

The volunteer vacation was co-hosted with the Kingman Area Bureau of Land Management and Dolan Springs Trail System. While here, the volunteers worked on the Lower Indian Springs trail area, on wash reroutes and tread work, and completed a nature trail in Antelope Canyon. On their day off they went to the historic Pierce Ferry Landing and walked along the Colorado River - thank you Gary Slomanski.
