Reitman changes for 'Labor Day'
Labor Day (Josh Brolin, Kate Winslet) - April 29th
Depressed single mom Adele and her son Henry offer a wounded, fearsome man a ride. As police search the town for the escaped convict, the mother and son gradually learn his true story and their options become increasingly limited (IMDb). Jason Reitman, known for directing Up in the Air and Juno, takes a different direction in this romance film. While clichéd at times, Brolin and Winslet do have a tragic chemistry that is fascinating to watch progress.
Escape from Tomorrow (Annet Mahendru, Danielle Safady) - April 29th
In a world of fake castles and anthropomorphic rodents, an epic battle begins when an unemployed father's sanity is challenged by a chance encounter with two underage girls on holiday (IMDb). This film rocked the 2013 Sundance Film Festival because of how unique and legally questionable the production was. Director Randy Moore shot the film in Disneyland and Disney World without Disney's consent, filming on DSLR cameras and planning out shots over months during the park's normal business hours.
Mario Golf: World Tour (3DS) - $39.99 - May 2nd
Mario and the rest of the Mushroom Kingdom tee off in their latest installment of the Mario Golf series. This is a golf game at its core, with Mario-themed challenges added to give the game a unique twist. The latest entry has a robust local multiplayer mode that keeps the game fast-paced and fun.

Aurora is stolen from her home as a child and must take back the sun, the moon, and the stars from the Queen of Night. Ubisoft Montreal crafted this RPG coming-of-age story as a small-scale project using the engine from Rayman Origins and the team from Far Cry 3.
Natchez Burning: A Novel by Greg Iles - 800 pages - April 29th
Greg Iles returns after a five-year break with this first installment in an epic trilogy that interweaves crimes, lies, and secrets past and present in a mesmerizing thriller featuring Southern lawyer and former prosecutor Penn Cage (HarperCollins). Iles has held the No. 1 spot in the New York Times before, and this mystery steeped in Southern culture is intriguing enough for me.
Falling Through Clouds: A Story of Survival, Love, and Liability by Damian Fowler- 288 pages - April 29th
A story of tragedy, survival, and justice, Falling Through Clouds is about a young father's fight for his family in the wake of a plane crash that killed his wife, badly injured his two daughters, and thrust him into a David-vs-Goliath legal confrontation with a multi-billion dollar insurance company (Goodreads).
This is a true story about Toby Pearson and how, out of tragedy and tribulation, he could still hope and fight for changes in aviation insurance law while nursing his daughters back to health.
