Letter of thanks: 300 over for Christmas dinner

Our 2013 Christmas Day dinner held at the Dolan Springs Community Council building had a great turnout. Approximately 300 people received dinners. We had turkey, ham and all the trimmings (including lots of home-baked pies).

We would like to extend a special thanks to those that donated goods, in-kind services and/or cash, as follows: The Dolan Springs Sons of the American Legion, Post No. 88 Ladies Auxiliary, Dolan Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ladies Auxiliary, Mohave Rancho and Lumber, Graves Propane, Kingman Wal-Mart, Dolan Springs Vincent DePaul, LDS Church, KADS of Dolan Springs and Dolan Springs Assembly of God Church. Our very special "thanks" to Westside disposal for their donation of turkeys.

Deliveries of boxed food were transported by the Dolan Springs Senior Transit Van, driven by Michelle Jose and assisted by Mike Jose, to the homebound residents of Dolan Springs.

We must recognize and thank the volunteers: Kathy Dodson-Long, Joyce Beaudoin, Bonnie Farmer, Sue Baughman, Irene Ahuna, Ladona Cypret, Lynn Hensen, Karin Nash, Patsy Jose and Annett Vail. These volunteers helped to prepare, serve, deliver food and clean up, thus making this dinner a success.

Kathy Dodson-Long

President, Dolan Springs Community Council
