Kingman Moose Lodge needs chili cook-off judges

KINGMAN - Connie Day is hoping her first stab at fundraising for Moose Lodge 1704 leaves a good taste in your mouth.

Day's event is a chili cook-off set for noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the lodge, 302 Monroe St. The field of 10 chili chefs is settled, but there are still openings for judges - and you can be one of them. All you have to do is show up, tell them you are Connie's friend, pay the admission fee and start eating and judging.

The best chili, per a vote by the judges, wins the "People's Choice" award and half of the entry fees. The other half, and the other proceeds, go to the Mooseheart home for children in Illinois.

For more information, contact Day at (928) 565-9554.
