Resolution pushed to censure McCain
KINGMAN - A censure resolution against Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., will be brought to the floor Saturday during a meeting of the Arizona Republican Party state committee members in Tempe.
Five county party committees - Mohave, Maricopa, Apache, Cochise and Gila - have already approved resolutions censuring McCain.
The resolution accuses McCain of "drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats."
It also says that "until he consistently champions our party's platform and values," Arizona's GOP leadership "will no longer support, campaign for or endorse" McCain.
