Kingman police seek tips about car vandalism

KINGMAN - Thirteen cars throughout the Kingman area had their windows broken late Friday or early Saturday and a reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.

The incidents occurred in the overnight hours. Over the course of three hours Saturday morning, the Kingman Police Department investigated 11 reports and the Mohave County Sheriff's Office looked into two more.

Vehicles parked in driveways or on the street in front of homes in downtown Kingman, the Golden Gate Addition, Shangri La Estates, the Butler area and Chaparral Mesa were vandalized, according to Kingman Police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki.

Sochocki said the acts appear to be random.

In Arizona, a charge of criminal damage can be treated as a felony or a misdemeanor. The determining factor is usually repair costs.
