Obituary: Mark Hoskins
Mark Hoskins was born Jan. 15, 1928, in Clay County, Kentucky. He went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2014, in Kingman.
Mark Hoskins, 86, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, was born to his mother, Gertie Roberts, and father, James Hoskins. Mark was a loving husband to his wife, Anita Hoskins; father to daughters Lisa Simmons and Kendall Volz; and grandfather to Michael, Heather, and Kevin Simmons and Corrine Ficarella. He has many friends and extended family.
Mark was a retired U.S. Army veteran of 25 years. He served in the Korean War and World War II. Mark was a POW survivor and a three-time recipient of the Purple Heart. Our father will be dearly missed not only by his family but also the many friends he made along his journey throughout his life. Mark went to be with the Lord at home peacefully with his wife by his side. A celebration of life for Mark Hoskins will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at VFW Post 10386, 3036 John L Ave.
