Booze, bullets a bad mix in Dolan Springs
DOLAN SPRINGS - Milo Donshay Pearson and Joshua Jerry Jose allegedly thought it would be a good idea to drink alcohol and fire high-powered rifles at "an old rotten tree" in a Dolan Springs neighborhood Saturday evening.
They now face felony weapons charges.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shots fired call in the area of 20th Street and Palo Verde Drive at about 7:15 p.m.
They observed a crowd of people standing in the street on Palo Verde Drive, most whom "walked real fast" toward a home in the 18300 block of Palo Verde Drive.
Deputies spoke with a few people and were directed to a home on the property. Jose, 25, allowed the deputy inside and reportedly pointed to two rifles under a bed. Pearson, 30, and Jose reportedly admitted to firing the rifles.
"Investigations determined Pearson and Jose were shooting high-powered weapons at an old rotten tree in a residential area while they were drinking alcohol," said sheriff's office spokeswoman Trish Carter. The men were taken into custody without incident. They each face a felony charge of disorderly conduct with a weapon.
