City, Unisource partners in paint
Celia Ceniceros paints the trim on Sheryl Burgess' home in Kingman on Saturday morning as part of a "Paint-a-Thon" sponsored by the city of Kingman and UniSource Energy. Three homes were selected this year as part of the program. The homes belong to individuals who are unable to paint their home and need assistance. "The city donates the paint, and we (Unisource) find the homes for the city," said Mary Lou Galvan, team leader for the group at Sheryl Burgess' home. Galvan is the daughter of Ceniceros and also enlisted her husband's help on the project. "It's wonderful because I couldn't do it," said Sheryl Burgess, citing an illness that prevents her from painting her home. "My house is beautiful. I just feel funny not doing anything."
