KINGMAN - Mike Roundy (fifth from left) and people interested in a proposed community garden stand Saturday on an acre of land on Harrison Street between Cecil Davis Park and Praise Chapel.

The land was donated by Praise Chapel and leased for a minimum of three years.

The new gardening group, called Dig It Kingman, seeks donations of money, gardening supplies, and volunteer work to get started. Individual plots will probably be about 100 square feet.

Gardeners will be encouraged to donate some of their produce to people in need, such as the homeless or a local food bank.

People do not have to garden in order to participate.

For more information, call Roundy at (928) 715-1165 for more information or email digitkingman@gmail.com.
