Norma Ruth Gregory passed away on April 12, 2015. She was born June 1, 1932, to Charley and Ida May Steele in Jones, Okla.
She had lived in Kingman since 1946, moving here with her parents from Jones, Okla.
Norma was preceded in death by her father, Charley Steele, and mother, Ida May Steele; her husband, Jack Gregory, a former undersheriff of Mohave County; her sister Evelyn Dickson of Oklahoma; her brother Ervin Steele of Oklahoma; her sister Charlette Evans of Kingman; and her great-grandson Madix Gregory of Kingman.
She graduated from Mohave County Union High School with honors in 1951. She was a member of the Living Faith Assembly of God Church, where she taught the adult Sunday school class for years. Norma retired from the Mohave County Assessor's Office after 22½ years of service.
Her greatest treasure has been her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Randy Gregory and wife, Carrie, of California; a daughter, Sherri Lynn O'Banion and husband, Don, of Kingman; five grandchildren, Scott Sullivan of Kingman, Michael Gregory and his wife, Jennifer, of Kingman, Shane Sullivan of Louisiana, Shawn Imhoff of Arizona and Shay Lynn Imhoff of Kingman; and seven great-grandchildren, Madison Gregory of Kingman, Kaden Sullivan of California, Connor Sullivan of Kingman, Liam Sullivan of Kingman, Kambira Sullivan of Kingman, Kylan Sullivan of Kingman and Zinley Gregory of Kingman.
She is also survived by special nieces and nephews, Jim Steele and his wife, Linda, and Roberta Evans Malcom.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at the First Assembly of God, 1850 Gates Ave.
