Kingman Soccer Club keeps growing - and winning
KINGMAN - The Kingman Soccer Club just finished its third season and has opened its fourth with four teams that represented Kingman Jan. 17-18 in Phoenix.
The club currently has the following age groups: U10 boys, U10 girls, U11 girls and U12 boys. Nearly 50 families supported Kingman at the tournament as the boys played extremely well but did not place.
The U11 girls team placed second after a tough loss to Flagstaff in the championship game, 3-1.
The U10 girls, coached by Kimbra and Bennett Bratley, won their second tournament championship with a win over Flagstaff, 2-1.
The club's sole purpose is to provide Kingman youth the opportunity to play and learn the advanced concepts of soccer while learning to compete at a high level in a fun environment.
Currently, the U10 boys and U11 girls are ranked in the top 40 in the state, and the kids in the program compete against the best soccer players and programs in the state.
The Kingman Soccer Club continues to grow as more teams are formed every year. The goal is to create a program that will always be available to help young players excel to their maximum potential in a sport they love and also feed our high schools with soccer players who are ready to play at a high level.
The Kingman Soccer Club will hold a soccer camp this summer. If interested in being a part of the club, contact the club through Facebook at "Kingman Soccer Club" or call Gabe Otero at (928) 279-3750.
