Man arrested for hitting Kingman officer

KINGMAN - A Peach Springs man was jailed Saturday after he allegedly punched and pushed a Kingman Police officer.

Officers responded to a business in the 3300 block of Andy Devine Avenue regarding two intoxicated people whom personnel wanted removed from the store.

Officers made contact with Darren Wade Pablo, 27, and a 35-year-old woman, also of Peach Springs.

Both were reportedly "heavily intoxicated and uncooperative," according to Kingman Police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki.

A record check revealed the woman had two misdemeanor warrants and she was taken into custody without incident.

Pablo, however, refused to comply with officers' orders and he allegedly pushed an officer and punched him in the face, said Sochocki.

He was taken into custody after a brief struggle and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, a felony.

The officer injured his wrist and a leg in the incident and was treated at Kingman Regional Medical Center.
