KINGMAN - Station 66 held a Car Show and Customer Appreciation Day Saturday to raise money for the Run for the Wall veteran's event coming through Kingman on May 13.

There was a car show, Pin-up Girl contest and live music.

Run for the Wall is held to recognize the sacrifices and contributions made by veterans who have served our country. Several groups travel to converge on Washington, D.C., at the Vietnam Memorial.

Rachel Duhaime, Arizona state coordinator for the Midway Route, said she would love to have people come out that day to show their support for these veterans as they ride in on their motorcycles.

She'd like to see people between I-40 and Airway Avenue on Route 66, holding flags and showing the support these veterans may not have received on their original return home from war.

Their estimated time of arrival is 1:17 p.m., though that could change. Call Station 66 at (928) 681-2466 for more information on how to help or when to expect the RFTW. They will gas up at the station, then stop for a meal.
