Rifle shot missed roommate, hits apartment building
KINGMAN - A Kingman man is in jail after he allegedly fired a rifle in the direction of his roommate, with whom we was fighting Monday afternoon.
Kingman Police officers responded to a shots fired call at a home in the 3500 block of Roosevelt Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. They arrested Arturo N. Montana, 24, after determining Montana and his roommate were fighting when Montana allegedly grabbed a .22-caliber rifle and fired a shot at the victim. The shot missed, but struck a nearby apartment building and put residents there in danger, said Deputy Police Chief Rusty Cooper.
Montana, who was reportedly intoxicated, faces felony charges of aggravated assault by domestic violence, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct involving weapons, and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct by domestic violence and criminal damage.
