Betty Ellars Airgood

Marion (Betty) Ellars-Airgood was welcomed into heaven April 18, 2016. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Ann Rolph; parents Wilfred and Marion Swenson; and her husband and soul mate, Jess R. Ellars.

She was born Oct. 25, 1933, in Luverne, Minn. Betty loved to travel, as was made evident by the many cities she called home. She married and had two sons in Luverne. Then made the move to Kansas City, Mo., where two daughters were added to the family. They all packed up and moved to Butte, Mont. From there, with career changes, Helena and Billings, Mont., were added to the list. Most of her career life, she was a sales and catering manager for the hotel industry.

She met her soul mate, Jess, in 1972, and shared 34 wonderful years with him. They traveled in and out of the country, settling in Kingman in 2000.

Of her many hobbies, directing children’s choirs and gardening brought her the greatest joy.

She is survived by her companion, Gerald Airgood of White Mountain Lake, Ariz.; sons Michael (Anna) Rolph of Lansing, Mich. and John (Delrane) Rolph of East Helena, Mont.; and a daughter, Kim (Marvin) Dahl of Kingman. She has nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 6, 2016, in College Park Church, 1990 Jagerson, Kingman. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service in the Fellowship Hall.
