Obituary: Marilyn Julle
Marilyn Jean Julle, 74 years old, went home to the Lord, Wednesday, June 29, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Marilyn was born in Chicago to Heinz and Emilie Biekofsky on Sept. 10, 1941. She loved her time growing up in the city of Crete. Marilyn married Keith Julle on Aug. 14, 1965. They spent much of their early years living in St. Louis, Chicago, Los Angeles and Houston before finally settling in Kingman, Arizona in 1979 with their two children, Pamela and Kevin. Marilyn joined with Keith in the ownership and operation of Mohave Oil Company. She was active in many organizations, but most of her life during this time was spent supporting everything her kids and husband were a part of. In later years, she enjoyed her part-time job at Kingman True Value. She loved getting to see and visit with so many people there.
Marilyn was strong in her faith. She belonged to Central Kingman Church and looked forward to going every Sunday. Our mom loved her garden. She could tell you the name of any flower she ever saw. She loved watching all sports on TV, always cheering for Arizona teams, unless the Cubs were playing, then she had to root for her old hometown team. Marilyn treasured her dear friends in the "Friday Night Group". She talked about these ladies endlessly. We are sure they were a big part of what kept her going after her beloved husband, Keith, passed in 2008. But what our dear mom loved more than anything were her 5 grandchildren. She was so extremely proud of all of them. She wasn't a bit shy to tell you about what each of them were up to or share pictures with you. Nothing could keep her away from an activity or event that they were involved in. She was their biggest cheerleader and fan.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Julle; her parents, Heinz and Emilie; her brother, Heinz Biekofsky; and her sister, Janice Cull. We are comforted in knowing that they are all together again.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Jon) Olney of Chandler; her son, Kevin (Lisa) Julle; her 5 beloved grandchildren, Sara, Hanna, Tyler, Kyle and Emma; her nieces, Karen Cull Hamilton, Laurie Cull and Adriane Biekofsky Terrell; her nephews, Brian Biekofsky and Donald Cull.
Marilyn was a wonderful wife, mom and grandma. She was patient and kind with everyone she knew. We are all so thankful for the time we had with her...she will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave, on Wednesday, July 6, from 5-7 pm.
Funeral services will be held at Central Kingman in downtown Kingman on Thursday, July 7 at 10:00 am with Pastor Denny Colvig officiating.
Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Marilyn's name.
