She spent many years as a Girl Scout leader and a preschool teacher. Even after being retired she volunteered at the Kingman Academy of Learning along with her granddaughter-in-law Marika. She also volunteered for a number of years as a cook for the Cornerstone Mission.
Along with Grant she helped in building Faith Lutheran Church in La Puente, Calif. and St. Mark's Lutheran in Hacienda Heights, Calif. as well as their house in Hacienda Heights.
She had a great love for Dodger baseball, In-N-Out burgers, gardening, doll-making, sewing and many other crafts. She also loved her church family, "Living Word Lutheran Church." Every year she would decorate the house for each holiday, but in the last few years she would only do her favorite holiday, Christmas.
The family wishes to thank the Joan & Diana Hospice Home, KRMC Hospice and KRMC for all of their help and support.
Lorraine will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 1 at the Living Word Lutheran Church, 2579 Northern Ave. in Kingman.
