KINGMAN - Police say they saw a Kingman man toss a handgun out of his car following an incident at a local truck stop Sunday evening.

Robert Wayne Puckett, 40, was charged with felony aggravated assault and weapons misconduct, both by domestic violence, after he allegedly pulled out a handgun at the business in the 3300 block of Andy Devine Avenue at about 6:15 a.m.

Puckett, according to KPD spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki, pointed the gun at his estranged wife, with whom he was arguing.

He drove away as officers arrived. They allegedly saw him throw out the gun before stopping him in the area of Andy Devine and Detroit avenues.

Police determined the woman was Puckett's estranged wife. In addition to the felony charges, Puckett faces a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct with a weapon by domestic violence.
