Letter: Kingman Muslims condemn massacre
Every sane person is shocked to hear and see the aftershocks of the murderous attack in Orlando last Sunday unfold on television and the Internet. At the end of the day, there were nearly 50 people dead. We have to realize that they were happy, breathing human beings who a moment before were dearly related to someone. Bang! Gone.
We as a Muslim community of Kingman strongly condemn this cowardly act. A true Muslim's duty is to protect life. His, as well as others. Every one of us is a human being first and then Jew, Christian, Muslim, black, white, straight or gay second. We are all equal in front of God who is all merciful and forgiving.
Who are we to judge? "Judge not, lest ye be judged." Matthew 7:1.
Let us pray that our homeland may remain safe from all the calamities of human or divine origin.
May God protect us from all evil challenges. Amen!
