KPD: Woman fought with police, had meth
KINGMAN - A Kingman woman reportedly decided she would rather fight detectives than go to jail Thursday.
She didn't succeed.
Jamie Kay Skaro, 37, allegedly damaged a police vehicle and caused "minor injuries" to a Kingman Police detective during a drug arrest, said Deputy Chief Rusty Cooper in a statement.
The incident occurred at about 5 p.m. when the officer tried to take Skaro into custody in front of her home in the 500 block of Windsor Avenue.
Once they got her into handcuffs, police allegedly found Skaro possessed eight grams of methamphetamine. A search of her home was conducted after a warrant to do so was obtained and police allegedly found drug paraphernalia and equipment.
Skaro faces felony charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and criminal damage, along with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
