Academy's Plew no-hits Parker once again

KINGMAN - She did it Friday and she did it again on Monday.

Jessica Plew no-hit Parker over five innings for a run-ruled 17-0 win at Parker.

Plew's no-hitter on Friday against Parker was over four innings at Southside Park with the Lady Tigers following Plew's lead with a duplicate 17-0 Division III win.

Kingman Academy (5-2) belted out 14 hits in Monday's win. Plew had three of them, including a double, drove in two runs and scored two runs. Jillian Winters, Shaunti Short, Kassidy Campbell and Abbie Boss each had two hits. Alexis McCade had three RBIs with a double.

Academy played River Valley (7-0) Tuesday. Results were not available by deadline. The Academy hosts Page (4-3) at 3 p.m. today on Southside Park's Field No. 1.

Lake Havasu 11, Kingman 1

At LHHS, a depleted Kingman Lady Bulldogs' lineup couldn't hold up to Lake Havasu (3-3) on Monday, 11-1. The loss came after Kingman edged Glendale on Friday, 6-4.

Natalie Borgens got the win against the Cardinals and took the loss against Havasu. Against Glendale, Borgens threw a complete game - seven innings - surrendering four runs on four hits and one walk. She hit two batters and struck out five.

In Monday's loss, Borgens gave up seven earned runs in six innings on six hits and four walks. She struck out three.

Payton Chamberlain took over the catching duties for the Lady Bulldogs Friday and went 2-for-4 with a home run.

Borgens singled in Kingman's only run against Havasu.

The Lady Bulldogs next play at Kingman Academy (5-2) at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at Southside Park.
