Kingman vehicle burglary suspects arrested
KINGMAN - Two people have been arrested for crimes related to at least 17 vehicle burglaries in Kingman that have occurred since February.
William Anthony Rubio and Markie Michelle Hanna, both 28 and of Kingman, were arrested by Kingman Police detectives at a local motel March 18, according to Deputy Chief Rusty Cooper.
Cooper said both Rubio and Hanna admitted to participating in the crime spree and reportedly embarked on it to support their addiction to heroin.
"Their arrests and charges have cleared 17 vehicle burglaries reported since February," said Cooper. "It is believed that Rubio and Hanna are responsible for additional crimes, however. Further investigation is required."
As things stand now, their attorneys will have plenty of felony charges to defend.
Rubio faces 11 charges of vehicle burglary and one count of trafficking in stolen property. Hanna faces three counts of vehicle burglary, residential burglary, taking the identity of another, two counts of trafficking in stolen property, two counts of credit card theft, six counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives were provided information on their identities and whereabouts and arrested them without incident at the motel.
