As President Trump waded out in the swamp looking for the drain plug, he encountered alligators. These alligators represent both Republicans and Democrats that are responsible for filling the swamp. The swamp is filled with the money and power they have accumulated over many years as they diminish the States powers as established by the Constitution. They do it in a way to make people, especially the poor, feel they are looking out for their best interest. All along they are playing good cop-bad cop, doing or saying anything to get reelected and retain their power.
The repeal of health care failed because a small group of patriotic congressmen realized Obama Care is not only unconstitutional, but it is more about control than health care. You might think Obama Care must be constitutional because it went to the Supreme Court twice. Well, the Republicans in Congress knew federally mandated health care would not be constitutional. The question brought before the court was “Can the American people be taxed for not buying insurance?” As we know the federal government can tax for any reason they wish! They also knew once you give something to the masses, it is almost impossible to take it back.
We had a chance to start draining the swamp in the election. Instead, we reelected someone who gets on tv and talks tough but is really part of the problem. John McCain has been in the Senate for over 30 years. He is part of the problem along with our other senator, Jeff Flake.
Washington is broke! Yet we keep electing the same people.
It it time to “Drain the Swamp?”
