Newly-elected mayor, councilmembers to be sworn into office
KINGMAN – Newly-elected council members and Mayor-elect Jen Miles will take the oath of office administered by Judge Jeffrey Singer at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mohave County Administration Building, 700 W. Beale St.
Along with Miles, councilmembers SueAnn Mello Keener, Deana Nelson and Ken Watkins will take the oath of office. Miles and Keener were elected in the primary election, and Nelson and Watkins in the general election.
“This is a great opportunity for citizens to visit with newly-elected officials,” City Manager Ron Foggin said in a press release. “Residents can put faces to names, and also learn what the city will be tackling in the upcoming year.”
Council’s work session will begin at 5:30 p.m. after officials are sworn in. The regular meeting starts at 7 p.m.
