Prep Roundup: Lady Vols snap losing streak in win over Dysart

KINGMAN – The offenses came to play in the fourth quarter Monday night as the Lee Williams High School girls basketball team ended a three-game losing streak in a 45-28 victory over Dysart.

The Lady Vols outscored Dysart 19-12 in the final quarter after holding the Lady Demons to just two points in the second.

Lee Williams (3-3, 0-3 4A Grand Canyon Region) travels to Prescott Friday, Dec. 28 for the Lady Badgers Winter Classic.

Boys Basketball

Dysart 57, Lee Williams 47

At LWHS, the Lee Williams High School boys basketball team was looking to start a new streak Monday night but instead dropped a 57-47 loss to Dysart (5-3, 1-0 4A Black Canyon).

The Vols (4-2, 2-1 4A Grand Canyon Region) are idle until next year when they host Prescott (1-6, 1-2) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3.

Girls Soccer

Lake Havasu 5, Kingman 1

At KHS, Abi Colvin found the back of the net for the Kingman High School girls soccer team in a 5-1 setback to the Lady Knights (3-1-1).

The Lady Bulldogs (1-5, 0-1 3A Northwest Region) won’t be back on the pitch until Tuesday, Jan. 8 when Paradise Honors (0-2, 0-1) comes to town for a 4 p.m. region match.

Boys Soccer

Lake Havasu 6, Kingman 0

At Lake Havasu, the Kingman High School boys soccer team dropped its fourth straight match Monday night in a 6-0 loss to Lake Havasu (6-0).

The Bulldogs (1-5, 1-0 3A Northwest Region) host Paradise Honors at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8.
