Obituary | Ronald Lloyd Stoll
July 8, 1945 – Dec. 18, 2018
Ron passed Dec. 18 from throat cancer. He was a veteran, son, husband, brother, father, grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by his wife; Carolyn, son; Nathan Stoll (Kimberly), grandsons; Gavin Stoll, Dylan Huskey, Skyler Huskey, Reese Huskey, granddaughter; Makenzie Huskey, brother; Jonathan Stoll, and niece; Krista Decker.
Ron was born in Flint, Michigan and was transplanted by his parents to El Cajon, California. He graduated from Granite Hills High School, he was radar specialist in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. His life’s work was as an electrician as a member of IBEW Local 569.
He never met a person he didn’t know, read everything he could and could talk to you about any subject.
His passions were collecting U.S. postage stamps, bowling, golf and bass fishing. He bowled a 300 game on Feb. 6, 1975 at Parkway Bowl in El Cajon and caught his largest bass of 11 pounds 4 ounces at Eastman Lake. He helped start the Kingman Bass Masters and was president and tournament director of bass clubs in San Diego. He played trumpet and his fondest memory was marching in the Rose Parade in 1960 with his high school band.
He lived his life to the fullest doing all the things he loved with the people who meant the most to him. He will be missed. He left this world with only one regret.
