Kingman’s Parade of Lights, Tree Lighting ceremony set for Saturday

A pair of Kingman Christmas traditions will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 in downtown Kingman.

The annual Parade of Lights at 7 p.m. will be followed by the City’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at Locomotive Park, 315 E. Beale St.

The parade features Santa Claus, brilliantly lit floats and candy for kids. It steps off at 7 p.m. at Lee Williams High School and heads down Oak Street, then Fifth Street and on to Beale Street. It is sponsored by the Kingman Downtown Merchants Association.

The lighting ceremony for Kingman’s official Christmas tree is set for 8:30-9:30 p.m., after the parade in Locomotive Park. Live music and hot cocoa are included.
