Helicopters haul logs for Flagstaff forest thinning project

In this Jan. 30, 2019, photo a helicopter carries felled trees off the slopes of Mount Elden during helicopter logging operations for the Flagstaff Watershed Protection Project in Flagstaff, Ariz. Helicopter flights over Flagstaff are common, particularly with the local hospital being northern Arizona's only Level One trauma center, but the cargo of some of the helicopters buzzing over and around Flagstaff these days consists of logs, not people.
