Wyatt Pickering recently put on a show during the 2019 USA Track and Field Arizona Association State Championship. The Kingman native competed May 25-26 at Mesa Community College and walked away with first-place medals in the 1,500 and 3,000 meter runs.

Wyatt ran a 4.28.87 in the 1,500 on Saturday and then tallied a 9:49.95 in the 3,000 on Sunday. This is just the beginning of a longer journey for Wyatt as he prepares for the Junior Olympic qualifiers. The state qualifier is June 15-16, while the regional qualifier (Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and part of Texas) is July 6-7. And last, but not least, is the Junior Olympic National Meet July 22-28 in Sacramento, California.
