KINGMAN – Most shelters would have euthanized Lee, a kitten with ringworm and a bad leg injury on the brink of death, but President of Friends of Mohave County Animal Shelter Lynn Kannianen said staff worked to ensure that wouldn’t happen.

Emily Black, a shelter employee, has a gift for saving kittens and cats, Kannianen said. “She gave him fluids and antibiotics and took him to her home to foster,” she said. “He was a mess; it took months for him to gain weight and be a normal kitty.”

Lee is fully recovered, though walking with a limp, and ready for his forever home. He is neutered, current on vaccines, and can be adopted for $65. To adopt Lee or any cat or kitten at the shelter call 928-753-2727 for an appointment.
