KINGMAN – Friends of Mohave County Animal Shelter will hold a “Big Dog” adoption event in front of the Kingman PetSmart, 3260 Stockton Hill Road, on Friday, Nov. 6, at which large dogs 1 year or older will be $75 off.

Friends wrote in a news release that it will subsidize the adoption fee of big dogs, making the price $50, a $75 reduction. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“There will be dogs of various activity levels who will fit your lifestyle as either your new hiking or running buddy or a snuggling couch potato,” Friends wrote.

All dogs will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccines and microchipped. They also come with a free wellness check by a Kingman veterinarian of the adopter’s choice, as well as a coupon book from PetSmart that includes a free bag of food, a half-hour of free training, discounts on pet supplies and more.

Adopters will even get to choose from an assortment of pet goodies such as dog dishes, collars, leashes and toys.
