KINGMAN – Friends of Mohave County Animal Shelter will host a Pitty and Friends Big Dog Adoption Event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Kingman PetSmart parking lot, 3260 Stockton Hill Road.

“Pick your companion depending on your lifestyle,” Friends wrote in a news release. “They will be your perfect hiking or running buddy or if you are more inclined, your snuggly couch potato friend. Or they will be happy to hang out with your kids catching a ball or playing tag in the backyard.”

Each dog is spayed or neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. Adoptions also come with a bag of dog food, along with a coupon book from PetSmart with discounts that include a half-hour training session.

A new family member may be taken home for $42.50 due to Friends subsidizing the adoption fee by more than half. Adopters will also be entered into a drawing with the chance to win a dog bed, leash, bowl or toy. There will be one winner for each of the items mentioned.

“Come out and see us this Saturday,” Friends wrote.
