Kingman Young Marines seeks recruits
KINGMAN – The Kingman Young Marines are looking for a few good youths for their next recruit training class.
“The Young Marines is a national youth organization that develops leadership, teamwork and discipline in its members with an emphasis on a healthy lifestyle and avoiding illicit drugs,” the local chapter wrote in a news release.
The program is open to boys and girls ages 8-18 still in high school. Registration events and open houses are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 4 and Thursday, Feb. 11 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Club for YOUth gym at 301 N. First St., in downtown Kingman.
“All interested youths and their parents are invited to join us during either of these sessions to register and/or learn about the Young Marines program,” the group wrote.
The recruiting class will begin Saturday, Feb. 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adult leaders are also needed, and a military background is helpful.
