Ribbon cutting set for Veteran Villas – What a wonderful project. Applause for all involved.
Mohave County logs 111 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths – Cases and deaths on the rise in the county, and leadership? Not leading much! Personal bias against science and vaccines is literally killing the unvaccinated and misinformed locally, while county leadership is more interested in promoting conspiracy theories than vaccination.
COVID-19 vaccines – There has been plenty of research and vaccines are scientifically proven to be safe and effective. Yes, masks protect others but the problem is most people that aren’t vaccinated still don’t wear masks, thus possibly infecting others. The only answer– get vaccinated.
Recycling ends – This is about Kingman taking out all the recycling bins. We still miss them. I hate not being able to recycle. I have cat and dog food cans, etc., that all go to the landfill. It just feels wrong.
Robert Boslett Jr. July 4 letter: “An eye for an eye” – I’m fine with Mr. Boslett’s moral assessment as long as he doesn’t proclaim to be pro-life or Christian. Jesus would see it differently. Not surprisingly, Mr. Boslett seems to identify most with the angry punishing God of the Old Testament.
With history finally at hand, Biles headlines U.S. Olympic team – What a wonder this little girl is to watch. Simply amazing and refreshing, in the midst of all of our country’s other terrible problems right now. Do yourself a favor. Tune out the Kardashians and tune in Biles.
Groups that backed Proposition 208 seek to block tax cuts – People complaining about “huge tax cuts to the rich” conveniently fail to note the rich already pay massive taxes. That’s why a small percentage reduction looks so big. Need more money? Eliminate an existing program to free up needed funds.
You don’t need 30 rounds to hunt, true. But our forefathers did not write the Second Amendment because the deer were coming.
First Lady pushes COVID shots in Arizona – Well, Jill should know. She’s a doctor, right? Hahaha! Hard to believe they were all wearing masks. Hello. We had the Spanish flu and worse, and never closed anything down.
Tucson to ignore Arizona sanctuary ban on gun regulations – Bravo, Tucson, for having the courage to look after the safety of their population above reckless, political grandstanding. People, not profit and politics, should come first.
The difference between humans and animals? An animal would never allow the dumbest of the herd to lead them.
