Letter | Fix the roads with homes

I live in the Valle Vista golf course community. All the roads are county roads. For years now, my street has been deteriorating to the point of turning to dirt in places.

Mohave County’s road department spent thousands of dollars repairing and repaving streets in Valle Vista that have no houses on them and likely never will as there are no utilities.

Last fall, weeks were spent redoing some of these roads when a few hundred yards away, my street, with taxpaying homes on it, are quickly turning into dirt. Even now, as I write this, the county is working on the same streets repaired last fall.

I have sent e-mails with attached pictures to the road commission website with no response from them. Someone needs to address this wasteful use of our limited financial resources. It is very frustrating to see what is going on.
