Virginia “June” Hart

Virginia “June” Hart, born Oct. 2, 1924, in Palmer Texas.

June served in the Women’s Army Air Corp medical division and was stationed in Des Moines, Iowa during World War II. She was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis in 1926, of which she finally succumbed to on Sept. 11, 2021.

June was a catalyst to living the American dream. In her pursuit of happiness, she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Arizona State University, taught art at ASU and Mohave Community College, volunteered at Kingman Regional Hospital, rescued dogs, participated in archeological studies and traveled throughout the Midwest.

June believed the importance of supporting local business and animal rescue shelters is crucial; it was her mission to support people as well as animals, primarily the canine species. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing the truth about world history.

She was forthright in her opinion and was always willing to help someone in need. She will be remembered by those who knew her “spunky” side and her love for animals.

She is survived by her son, daughter in-law, niece, nephew and cousin. In honor of her request, there will not be a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to local (nonprofit) animal shelters.
