Rants and Raves | Oct. 13, 2021

Let us know what’s on your mind in 40 words or less. Submit Rants and Raves at kdminer.com/rants-and-raves or email editorial@kdminer.com. If your rant/rave is about a specific story please mention the headline. Rants and raves must be original; not plagiarized. We receive many more rants and raves than we can print. Local rants and raves are preferred.

Health director: COVID-19 impacting younger populations in Mohave County – Health Director Denise Burley’s job is to inform, not “bring to a logical end” reporting because someone Supervisor Lingenfelter is tired of hearing facts. Likewise, she shouldn’t suffer the rabid lunacy of “call to the public” crazies at BOS meetings either.

Health director: COVID-19 impacting younger populations in Mohave County – The County Health Department should still report. The county is only 44% vaccinated. People are still dying. The state website is more difficult to get local numbers. Just because you don’t report something doesn’t make it go away.

I’m so sick of seeing “F* Biden” signs and stickers in the Kingman area. What happened to common decency? What happened to Republicans acting like good Christians?

Dumping grounds – The desert behind Chaparral Mesa and the wash are not dumping grounds for contractors and people that don’t pay for trash pickup!! I counted 15 bags of trash dumped over the Thompson bridge wash. Kingman has become a dumping ground!

Arizona health records show that 950 Mohave County residents have died from COVID since this pandemic started. That’s because only 44% of county residents have been vaccinated. Please get vaccinated!

2 dead, 44 infected with COVID from Kingman medical service area – Please note the county-wide report as well – three dead in a two-day period and more cases. And then get the vaccine if you have not done so. And mask. The life you save may be your own.

Stockton Hill Road – How about a two-lane left turn on Stockton Hill Road to access Smith’s, Walmart, etc. Cars are waiting a quarter-mile back to make the left turn on an arrow that changes in 15 seconds.

Speeding rant – How irresponsible of the Kingman Miner to publish the speeding rant. Enforcement of speed limits is the responsibility of law enforcement officers. The writer of the rant states: “I will take action and you won’t like the outcome.” It’s an open-ended threat.
