Miner Editorial: Public deserves to know about COVID-19 – Thank you, Kingman Miner, for standing up for the truth about COVID-19 and what we need to do to save lives. You have given hope for those of us at high risk, to possibly be able to survive this pandemic.

Miner editorial: Thumbs up for the Kingman Route 66 Street Drags – Tried Friday night. Great concept; unfortunately very disorganized. No vintage flagman, as advertised, on Friday. Miner oil leak caused couple of hours delay. Will try Saturday next year. They need to get rid of the trees that block your view.

Miner editorial: Thumbs up for the Kingman Route 66 Street Drags – Build a drag strip out of town and move the fairgrounds with it. Too much noise for neighbors and trauma for animals. I live on the other side of Airway Avenue and I could hear them there.

Miner editorial: Thumbs up for the Kingman Route 66 Street Drags – It’s 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23. My ears are sore from earplugs for two days. I had to put my dogs on tranquilizers. My blood pressure is sky high and I can’t stop thinking about the two friends from high school who died street racing.

Miner editorial: Thumbs up for the Kingman Route 66 Street Drags – I totally disagree with editorial embracing the drag races. They give all the common sense reasons against it – traffic, noise, waste of fuel, pollution, closing a major artery for thousands daily and respond with “It’s fun, just enjoy it!” Lunacy!

Mike Norris overcomes adversity to kill big bull elk – Please stop showing beautiful animals that have been killed by hunters in the paper. What you do not realize is that there are those of us who really love the beauty of these animals and hate their senseless killing.

Mike Norris overcomes adversity to kill big bull elk – Why does the Miner glorify the murder of wildlife? Yes, I know the hunters eat their kill, but our community newspaper doesn’t need to highlight every time an animal is killed. With sophisticated weapons it’s hardly a fair fight.

Anti-hunters rant – For the uneducated, hunting and fishing along with the license fees to do so are the top conservation methods. Without either species would overpopulate and die of disease and starvation. Hunting has its purpose.

COVID-19 claims 5 more Mohave County residents, 207 new cases recorded – Two days, five deaths, 207 cases. While many places are getting COVID-19 under control, we lag behind. Here, suffering and death continues. We know why - our vaccination rates are low! Get vaccinated to save lives!

COVID-19 claims 5 more Mohave County residents, 207 new cases recorded – Get the shot! When we moved here years ago, we would not have imagined that so many people would turn a callous eye to the deaths of their neighbors here!

Michael Reagan column: The good life of Colin Powell – Colin Powell was a remarkable man of character, integrity, bravery and patriotism. His life was flawed by one mistake – accepting, and acting upon, a misleading lie about weapons of mass destruction. It was his greatest regret, and a cautionary tale for our times.
