Let us know what’s on your mind in 40 words or less. Submit Rants and Raves at kdminer.com/rants-and-raves or email editorial@kdminer.com. If your rant/rave is about a specific story please mention the headline. Rants and raves must be original; not plagiarized. We receive many more rants and raves than we can print. Local rants and raves are preferred.

Dollar Stores rant – Like they said, don’t stop there, and stop supporting China!

Eagle Scout story – Thank you for the positive story about his Eagle Scout project for the mentally disadvantaged kids in Kingman. Reaching the Eagle level in Scouting is monumental. Congratulations and may God continue to bless your life for others.

Why is it that Kingman gas prices are more than Bullhead City? Why aren’t our city officials doing something about it?

Michael Reagan column: Goodbye Liz Cheney - Liz Cheney has more integrity in one hair on her head than Michael Reagan, who earns a soft living firing up division and unrest with ideological extremist propaganda. History will remember and applaud her courage in standing up for democracy.

Walmart expands abortion coverage for employees – It was a positive surprise to see Walmart stand up for women’s reproductive freedoms. This recognition that women are not chattel with no rights to decide their own medical issues is welcome. Thank you , Walmart!

Walmart expands abortion coverage for employees – Big mistake, Walmart. God will not bless a company paying for the killing of unborn babies. I doubt Sam Walton would have either. Who would have thought America would stoop so low to this atrocious evil? So long, Walmart.

Kingman City Council discusses commercial zoning and business limitations – Hard to believe Kingman had more and better stores in the 1940s and 1950s – Babbit Brothers, Bessie Borden’s, Central Commercial, Alex Toggery, JC Penney’s, etc. – than it does now. Not everyone can run to Bullhead City or Las Vegas. It’s a sad state of affairs here.

Water sprinklers rant – Homeowners and businesses with grass are irresponsible? Not true! Grass eliminates dust and cools and cleans the air while providing beauty. Take a drive to one of the surrounding farms, and you will see water guzzling like you have never seen. It’s spine chilling.

Water sprinklers rant – Being a homeowner with a grass area does not make us irresponsible. Grass areas that I see are moderate and minimal. You would like us to rip out our lawns and save the water for alfalfa farmers?

Traffic offenders – I’m afraid my little 35 mph city is turning into a major highway on all streets! I have had cars pass me on Stockton Hill Road, Northern Avenue and Route 66 that are clearly going 60-85 mph.
