Drowning victim identified as Texas man

KINGMAN – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body found floating in the area of Body Beach in Lake Havasu on Saturday, Jan. 8 as 58-year-old Danny Sipes of San Angelo, Texas.
MCSO wrote in a news release that just before 6 p.m. Saturday, the Division of Boating Safety responded to a report of a possible drowning. Early reports noted that witnesses observed a fully-clothed male subject walking into the water from shore and never resurfacing.
Deputies immediately began searching the water by boat. The subject, identified as Sipes, was located deceased in approximately 5 feet of water on Saturday.
The investigation continues.
