In this age of technology, is there a good reason that mail-in votes are counted by hand? This isn’t rocket science, folks.
A simple computer program could easily match signatures on ballots with signatures on file. Any discrepancies would be kicked out to be examined by a human. It’s fast, easy and error-free.
Since about 80% of Arizonans vote by mail this really is a no-brainer.
